I use this as my default recording track. Default Audio Record Track: This is a single track, with a large meter visible, coloured white, set to record from input 1 of your interface, and with a tuner as input fx. Paste this to your Track Templates, make sure it's alphabetically at the top, and then you can run the action 'SWS: Load Track Template 01' or bind it to Option + Command + S like Logic Pro X Does.Ģ. Default MIDI Track: This is a single track, with MIDI input selected, record arm engaged, set to record MIDI: Overdub & Replace. Two Track Templates that mimic Logic Pro X's default MIDI & Audio Tracks.ġ. I go into more detail on the audio track in episode 30. In this episode, I start the MIDI 101 series by showing you how I quickly use two actions to quickly insert a MIDI Track ready for jotting down ideas, or an Audio track to quickly record. UPDATE: All downloadables from this bundle are now available as a single file, instead of separate downloads, but opening the zip file you will find them organized by episode name: If you see any icons on my channel that you like, they are included in the download, but they do not belong to me and are all from the Reaper Stash. That said, if you have SWS installed, and you know your way around Importing configurations, you could pick and choose what you need from it. Just know that I can't guarantee that these changes will be to your liking, and I can't guarantee that everything will work. ![]() You are welcome to download them, import all or parts of them to your own Reaper. Everything from all my actions, all my icons and screensets, to all my preferences, templates & so on. Other actions come from Reapack, but the names are given so in case you don't have them simply search for them in Reapack and install them!īIGGER WARNING: As requested by multiple users, I am also making my entire configurations of Reaper available for download here. Thankfully, my good friend Myk from Let's talk about Reaper has a very quick and simple tutorial on this very topic, which you can check out here. You'll have to download and install SWS yourself. I can only give you my own custom actions. Also be warned that if you download them without having SWS installed, you won't be able to use those commands. BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD my toolbars, keymaps, and so on, make sure to save your own configurations ( this video will show you how ) so you don't lose any of your own customizations. You can watch the corresponding video for each download. WARNING: Before you download these, make sure you know how they are used. I will break each down per episode but you can also download the whole package on the bottom of this post. They are also available in the dedicated playlist for MIDI Tutorials. Hey folks! On this blog post you will find all custom actions, scales, toolbars, icons, and other goodies I mentioned in episodes 35-43 or Rapid-Fire Reaper Tutorials. ![]() To get rid of it change to a different scrolling option.Free Downloads: MIDI 101, 102 (Rapid-Fire Reaper Tutorials Ep-35-43) If you find you have a half screen of grey blank space on your timeline when you’re at the beginning of the track this is the scrolling mode you’re in. All those screen re-draws can make it juddery when zoomed in so it’s not a popular choice. Continuous scrolling where the playhead stays in the centre and the audio scrolls past it is available in Pro Tools Ultimate. You probably want Page Scroll which moves the timeline along a screen at a time when the playback cursor reaches the right hand edge. Under Edit Window Scrolling there are 3 or 4 options depending on whether you have Pro Tools Ultimate. Instead go to the Options Menu and you’ll find it there. There’s no button for it in the UI so don’t look for one. Why Doesn’t The Screen Follow The Playback Cursor In Pro Tools? Change the setting next to Grid to change the Grid value (Snap setting in many other DAWs) and if you need to switch on Snap To Grid, click GRID at the top left of the Edit window. It doesn’t look like it but that is a button. Look for the word “Grid” over the Nudge field in the toolbar at the top of the Edit window.

![]() Oddly enough, kite fishing in the ocean for these fish is somewhat similar to fishing from a pier, with the main difference that a drifting boat with multiple surface baits covers more ocean. Blues are popular baits for fishermen who target kings from ocean piers in spring, summer and fall. Some anglers like to use small bluefish for king mackerel kite work. The old saying ‘big baits catch big fish’ is true for kings.” “October and early November are good times because that’s when (they) are the biggest. “The first thing we do is catch a load of big menhaden for the livewell,” Fulford said. It gives the impression of a wounded, easy meal. And nothing grabs the attention of a big king - or any other gamefish - love a baitfish thrashing on the surface. Baits struggle, skip and hop because the kite doesn’t allow them to dive. Then all you look for is a king crashing a bait.”įishing with a kite puts baitfish on the surface and keeps them there, its major advantage over other techniques. ![]() If the wind’s a little strong, we use a sea anchor to slow us down. “It’s not that difficult when the wind’s steady and the kites fly well,” Fulford said. “I mostly kite fish for kings in October and November,” said guide Toby Fulford, a 44-year-old Holden Beach native who has been fishing since he was 19 and guiding for eight years.įulford still slow-trolls when he takes clients hunting for kings, but when he fishes for fun, he enjoys using kites, plus, it helps to have extra deck hands, because one angler must steer while others must handle rods, kites and battle fish. but there’s little doubt it puts big fish within range of a gaff. It produces the kind of big, smoker kings that fishermen love to bring to the scales in tournaments, but flying a fishing kite has largely been ignored by Tarheel State anglers because it takes specialized equipment, takes a while to learn and it’s a much-slower way to fish. Almost 30 years after slow-trolling took over the king mackerel world, another approach to catch big kings - developed in Florida for sailfish - has migrated to North Carolina. ![]() ![]() A literary event has brought an influx of crime writers and fans just as Camino Island is about to get slammed by a major hurricane.
